This presentation educates everyone about the origins of Navajo Chapters and the historical legislative impacts that helped shape our Navajo Nation Local Governance Act (LGA). The discussion includes examples of the differences between governance certified Chapters and non-governance certified Chapters. The panel also describes other historical impacts in the aftermath of the LGA. The presentation is a teaching tool to help Navajo constituents navigate the laws of the Chapter and where to find them so they can be knowledgeable contributors in their communities.
